Stacy Ellefsen

Stacy Ellefsen joined The Hardy Group’s Honolulu office in 2017 as a Project Director. She brings more than 19 years of project management experience and deep expertise in Hawaii’s construction industry. Over the course of her career, Stacy has held multiple roles, including Executive Assistant, Project Coordinator, and Associate Project Manager, and has worked across a range of hospitality, commercial, and infrastructure projects throughout the Hawaiian Islands and beyond.

As a Project Director, Stacy is responsible for managing daily tasks, including coordinating project goals, managing consultants, and developing estimates for FF&E and OS&E. She oversees the FF&E design and procurement process ensuring that it remains within budget and on schedule, coordinates and oversees the hotel installation, and tracks change orders alongside the On-Site Project Manager. She assists in obtaining permits for temporary and final occupancy, supports operations for a smooth transition, and manages cost management and accounting procedures. Additionally, she prepares cash flow forecasts and schedules, facilitates monthly draw and project cost reports, manages contract closeout, completes punch lists, coordinates final lien waivers, and performs other necessary project functions.

Prior to joining HARDY, Stacy worked at Pulama Lānaʻi, HDR Engineering, Group Pacific (Hawaii) Inc. (which later merged with CBRE), Hawaiian Airlines, and Ronald M. Knoll Consulting Group. In these roles, she contributed to the success of projects including Aloha Kai Tower, Hyatt Regency Maui, Fairfield Hawaii at Waikiki Beach Walk, Fairmont Kea Lani, and JW Marriott Ihilani.

Stacy was an active member of the Manoa and Palolo Lions Clubs and has volunteered with numerous community organizations including Mid-Pacific Institute, Maryknoll School, Christian Academy, Hoʻōla Nā Pua, Special Olympics of Hawaii, CANstruction, Relay for Life, and the Hawaiian Humane Society PetWalk.
